With over 30 years experience in the energy industry, the founders have worked with many of the country’s large energy users operating in all sectors, whether that be with one site or many thousands. During this time their knowledge has encompassed all aspects of energy management from complex procurement, carbon management, efficiencies, data management and so on.
One frustration that they often encountered was how could they bring proper competition and transparency to the public sector organisations, especially when the processes available for market engagement were technically complex, time consuming and protracted.
Sometimes timing is everything and just as they set about to try to find the ideal solution the updated Public Procurement Regulations 2015 arrived which fitted perfectly in simplifying the requirements for a Dynamic Purchasing System, something that they had already developed for the private sector. So with some small development to satisfy the principles of public sector procurement, Energy for Good began.
